BeTwin é um software que permite que dois a cinco usuários compartilhem os mesmos recursos e capacidade de um único computador chamado Host PC com, Windows 2000 Professional ou Windows XP Professional (BeTwin 2000/XP). Para cada estação adicional ligada ao Host PC, é necessário acrescentar uma placa de vídeo, um monitor, um teclado e um mouse (multimí­dia e joysticks são opcionais). Cada usuário tem desktop personalizado, sua própria senha de acesso e utiliza aplicações como processador de texto, planilha eletrônica, banco de dados e correio eletrônico de forma independente. O BeTwin permite, ainda, que os usuários compartilhem impressora, CD-ROM, modem e até rede dial-up. De fato, dois ou mais usuários podem navegar na Internet utilizando apenas um modem, uma linha telefônica e uma única conta no provedor.
